Ancient Crafts Festival

ancient boats at MichelhamAn annual favourite, this. It’s held every May Day bank holiday weekend in the beautiful grounds of Michelham Priory.

I’ll be demonstrating netting and cordage from various plant fibres including bramble and rush. Visitors can also have a go at the techniques.

Find me on the front lawn by the moat, with the ancient style boats, including a coracle or two. Various other related artefacts will be on display and lots of samples/info to browse.

Michelham Priory is a gorgeous venue, both inside and out. And the festival is a really popular event, with loads of different activities. Sunday 4th & Monday 5th May 2014, 10.30am- 5pm.
