RUSH FORAGING BASKETS (16 JULY 2017)

Show/Hide Details
Jul 16,2017 -     Time: 10:30 am - 4:30 pm

rush foraging basketsSpend a day in the woods, round a roaring camp fire, making a foraging basket using true English rush (Schoenoplectus lacustris). These beautiful, tactile baskets hang across the body and are perfect for foraging berries, nuts etc... or just for carrying things in. English rush is a delightful material to work with, a native plant with a long history of use in basket making. It is particularly suited to beginners, but those with previous experience will be able to develop and consolidate existing skills. We'll also have time set aside for connecting to the woodland surroundings, making the day a nourishing as well as a learning experience. Suitable for all levels including beginners. Places limited to 10 participants. You'll find the full course description here.
