Grass Baskets Evening Class
Two consecutive Thursdays
Cost includes materials & refreshments
Not currently scheduled for 2018
Venue: One The Square, Lewes Rd, Forest Row, East Sussex. RH18 5HA
Make a small coiled basket from grass, which has been foraged from the fields of East Sussex. Just when the birds are beginning to nest, you’ll make your own sturdy, nest-like basket from natural, wild materials.
You’ll make a basket that’s sturdy and perfect for storing eggs or other similar-sized objects. Learn about which grasses you can harvest and use, when to do the harvesting and how to process your harvest. You’ll leave with all the knowledge you need to make another yourself after the course.
Spaces are limited to 10 participants, so advance booking is essential. Suitable for all levels, no previous experience needed.
Venue: One The Square is a creative and community space for artisans and makers. It serves great coffee and fantastic raw juices, and is a thriving hub in the community. You’ll be welcomed with some light refreshments, which are included in the price of the course. So we’ll have a mellow and enjoyable time.
To Book: contact Magda at One The Square by phone 07973 289907, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note: bookings for this course are not being taken through the Native Hands booking system.
Ruby – I wanted to thank you again for the lovely basket workshop. It was so relaxed yet focused, clear modelling with space to crack on and explore with your supportive skills and knowledge on tap. Richard S.
